The Eatset Example
These three principles have helped the UNDP and Government to identify with communities,
programmes that meet the pressing local needs, tailored to local institutional capacities
that can be implemented with dispatch and by the right people and monitored to ensured
their responsiveness to changing circumstances. UNDP in Nigeria fully recognizes and
respects this responsibility. The EATSET project fully meets these conditions and
collaboration between countries different levels of development.
UNDP congratulates Dr. Ovadje and his team for the development of this device, which is an
appropriate technology in developing country situations where blood supply is in short and
sometimes unsafe. A high level of expectation already exists regarding the system and it
is hoped that objective feedback and contributions towards improvements, if any, in the
final product will be obtained. On our part, we are willing to work with other competent
organisations in assisting the inventor in securing the necessary documentation.
